About H55
H55 is the electric aviation pioneer born from Solar Impulse, the first aircraft to fly around the world on solar energy alone. Our mission is to make air transport clean, safe, and affordable by building the certification-grade energy storage systems the industry needs to scale.
What we build is meant to fly. Not just prototypes, but certified systems that operate in real-world conditions. That requires discipline across engineering, safety, and the way we run the business.
Based in Sion, Switzerland, with a growing international footprint, H55 is entering a pivotal new phase as we expand our operations and build the foundation for the next stage of electric aviation.
About the Role
We are looking for an IT Systems Specialist with solid hands-on experience across infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments. As a core member of the IT team, you will be responsible for the stability, security, and performance of our systems and network infrastructure, supporting both day-to-day operations and the company’s continued growth.
Your Responsibilities
Systems Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments (Debian/Ubuntu). Manage GPOs, system updates, patching, and performance monitoring.
Cloud & Virtualisation
Administer Azure infrastructure, including VMs, resource groups, storage, Entra ID, and Intune. Manage on-premise virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware.
Network Administration
Configure and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing. Ensure network availability, reliability, and performance.
Firewall & Security
Manage firewall rules, VPN configurations, and network segmentation. Apply security policies, monitor threats, and respond to incidents.
Storage & Backup
Administer iSCSI storage infrastructure, manage SAN/NAS environments, and ensure backup integrity and recovery procedures.
Identity & Access Management
Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, GPOs, and user provisioning processes.
Monitoring & Incident Response
Monitor infrastructure health, respond to alerts, lead incident resolution, and manage vulnerability remediation and patching activities.
Documentation
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories, and operational procedures.

  • Rigorous and methodical, with strong attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Strong documentation mindset: configurations and procedures must remain clear and traceable
  • Good communicator, able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to manage priorities under pressure and handle incidents calmly and professionally
